BOURBON – Velma J. Schultz, 99, Warsaw, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Jan. 3, 2017, in Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw. She was born Nov. 7, 1917, in Tippecanoe, to Ed and Myra Warnaucutt. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her card club, helping her children and sharing her good humor. She was a graduate of Tippecanoe High School, a member of United Church of Christ and attended First Baptist Church. On Feb. 9, 1985, she joined in marriage to Gordon W. Schultz, who preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by her four children: Michael (spouse Gloria) Smith, San Diego, Calif.; Jerry (spouse Madyline) Smith, Texas; Janice Boyce, Nevada; and Joyce Shue, Warsaw. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by three spouses: William Babcock, Gerald Smith and Gordon Schultz; three sisters: Ruth, Martha and Francis; and a grandson, Jeremiah Kenton Shue. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
