CLAYPOOL – A pickup truck ran off the road after the driver apparently fell asleep at the wheel.

Harry G. Crosser, 63, Frontage Road, Warsaw, was traveling north on Ind. 15 near West CR 600S, Claypool, just after 3 a.m. today. He told the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigating officer that he believed he fell asleep and wrecked his truck.

His vehicle left the west side of Ind. 15, striking a fence, then overturned into a corn field, coming to rest approximately 100 yards into the field.

Crosser complained of pain all over his body, and mainly his neck. He was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment.

Damage was estimated at $5,000 to $10,000.

Warsaw Police Department was interested in a gun found in the truck at the scene of the accident. Public Information Officer Det. Ryan Coble said WPD had received a call about a firearm shot in Crosser’s dwelling. They do not know if Crosser was the individual who fired the shot.
