Posted
WABASH – WWKI welcomes country music artists Phil Vassar and Craig Morgan when they bring their acoustic hits and favorite Christmas music to the Honeywell Center in Wabash Dec. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the performance, sponsored by DRP Company and Pefley’s Farm Equipment, go on sale Tuesday at 8 a.m.
Vassar, known as one of Nashville’s top tunesmiths, was racking up hits on the radio long before he even began his own recording career. “Little Red Rodeo,” (Collin Raye) “My Next Thirty Years,” “For A Little While,”(both by Tim McGraw) “She’s Right On The Money,” (Alan Jackson) and “I‘m Alright” (Jo Dee Messina) are just a few of the songs he’s penned that other artists have recorded and taken to the top of the charts.
As an artist, Morgan has been a mainstay on the charts with a body of work that includes 14 Top Ten hits, including fan-favorites “Redneck Yacht Club,” “Almost Home,” “That’s What I Love About Sunday” and “Tough.” As a performer he’s entertained countless fans in every corner of the globe, and as a country star he’s reached what many consider the pinnacle of his profession when on an October evening in 2008 he became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Tickets are $20, $34, $48 and $75, and may be purchased at the Honeywell Center box office beginning Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling 260-563-1102 or by visiting www.honeywellcenter.org
