Only one petition was scheduled for Monday's Warsaw Board of Zoning Appeals meeting, thus creating a whirlwind session lasting long enough for members to approve the request.
Jose Juarez and Elvira Pizano, of 324 S. Cleveland St., were granted a variance from developmental standards to allow for a deck extension on the property.
According to Community Development Coordinator Gisele Cox, the desired structure would follow Indiana Building Code and would not negatively affect adjacent properties. Prior to the board's vote, Cox recommended approval of the issue.
A second petition regarding property along Columbia Street was withdrawn.
Present for the meeting were Dan Hampton, Bruce Woodward and Alan Clingan. Members Rick Keeven and Tom Heuer were absent.
The next BZA meeting is scheduled for June 26.
