Vance Dillard, 70, of 12981 S. CR 200W, Silver Lake, died at 7:57 p.m. June 15, 2007, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born July 31, 1936, in Paoli, to Merl and June Compton Dillard. In 1956, he married Barbara Hayworth, who survives.
He was head custodian at Paoli High School for many years before moving to Kosciusko County recently.
Also surviving are a daughter, Leah Jones, Silver Lake; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, Max and Larry Dillard; and two sisters, Shirley Hopper and Louise McManis.
Services will be at noon Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Wanda Carter officiating.
Calling is two hours prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
