Van Hits Semi Trailer On U.S. 30An early morning crash on U.S. 30, west of the intersection with CR 150W, sent two people to the hospital today.
A 911 call was made at 6:40 a.m. regarding a van and semi-tractor-trailer crash. Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department crash investigation team responded to the call.
Officers stated Travis L. Beery, 35, of Mentone, Calif., was westbound on U.S. 30 and, for an unknown reason, drove into the rear of a semi-tractor-trailer driven by Robert B. Dolinar, 30, of Finleyville, Pa.
Beery was transported from the scene by Multi-Township EMS to Kosciusko Community Hospital. He is listed in serious condition with head and chest injuries. Dolinar was not injured in the crash.
Officers also stated that alcohol is a possible factor in the crash and are awaiting blood toxicology results as part of the investigation.
The crash investigation team was assisted at the scene by the Warsaw Police Dept., Warsaw/Wayne Township Fire Dept., Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department and the Indiana State Police.
