Tippecanoe Valley senior golfer Aaron Martin missed out on his state meet hopes in a playoff Saturday morning at Chestnut Hills Golf Course.
Martin, who shot a 79 Friday at the course, was tied with DeKalb's Tyler Bunch when inclement weather forced both golfers off the course in the middle of the first playoff hole.
Martin and Bunch returned Saturday morning and Bunch won in the playoff for the final advancing spot from the Homestead Golf Regional.
Martin ended the season as Valley's top golfer and played in the No. 1 spot for most of the year.
Wawasee's team and Justin Howell of Warsaw both advanced to the state meet out of that regional and will compete Wednesday at Prestwick Golf Course in Plainfield.
