WABASH – A blown transformer cut Tippecanoe Valley’s game at Wabash short, but the score made that easy to do. Already on top 45-0 early in the third quarter, a blown transformer was a little too dangerous for the game to be completed. This is the second time this season Valley has had a game called at halftime, the first being a 45-0 win at Southwood two weeks ago. In just two quarters, Valley junior quarterback Ben Shriver was 4-of-7 passing for 146 yards and two touchdown passes to junior Tanner Andrews and another to senior Justin Gunter. Also for Valley, sophomore Jarred Littlejohn, junior Nolan Sponseller and Gunter each ran for a score, while Andrews also return a punt for a score. Following Friday’s games, Valley, North Miami and Rochester all sit at 4-0 in the Three Rivers Conference. This Friday, Valley and Rochester square off in Akron, with Valley then traveling to North Miami the following week.
