Valley Tops Roundup With Triple OT Loss To Plymouth

In a battle of unbeatens where the lead teetered between the teams, Plymouth eventually edged Tippecanoe Valley 56-48 in triple overtime Thursday night in girls hoops.
Plymouth held a five-point lead at halftime before the Lady Vikings came back to claim a 29-26 lead at the end of three quarters. The Lady Pilgrims tied the game by the end of regulation. Both teams scored eight points in the first overtime, then neither scored in the second extra period. Plymouth outscored Valley 10-2 in the final four minute extra period.
Meredith Brouyette led Tippecane Valley with 15 points, and Anne Secrest added 13. Plymouth was led by Nicole Horvath’s 18 points and Hailey Harrell’s 14.
The Lady Vikings open Three Rivers Conference play at 7:45 p.m. Saturday when Wabash comes to visit.

Bailey Sewell and Cierra Carter scored eight points each in Manchester’s 26-9 win over Caston Thursday night.
The Lady Squires led 8-0 after the first quarter, and also held Caston scoreless in the final period. Celina Carter added six points in the winning cause.
Manchester opens Three Rivers Conference play when they travel to Northfield for a 7:45 p.m. Saturday tip-off.

Thursday at Warsaw
Warsaw’s swimming teams swept NorthWood Thursday, withthe girls winning 107-76 and the boys taking a 143-41 decision.
The Lady Tigers were led by Brenna Morgan, Erin Sandberg and Jess Haines, who finished 1-2-3 in the 50 yeard freestyle race. The trio teamed with Laurel Moeller to win the 200 medley relay, Moeller alos won the 100 breaststrroke.
The boys took the first three places in eight of 12 events on the way to victory. Jayden Parrett, Zach Taylor and Matt Wildman were multiple race winners for the Tigers.
