AKRON - Beginning this spring, the Tippecanoe Valley School Corp., in cooperation with the Tippecanoe Valley alumni, will select a group of 12 Tippecanoe Valley High School graduates to be recognized as the 2010 TVHS Distinguished Alumni.
Three graduates from the 1970s, three from the 1980s, three from the 1990s, and three from the 2000s will be selected. A new group of 12 TVHS Distinguished Alumni will be selected annually.The TVHS Distinguished Alumni will be individuals, living or deceased, who graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School and went on to lead successful and productive lives.
Individuals selected as TVHS Distinguished Alumni will be asked to share their experiences with current TVHS students and possibly serve as mentors.
A digital display at TVHS will honor the TVHS Distinguished Alumni.
The 2010 TVHS Distinguished Alumni will be honored publicly in September.
A committee of eight TVHS graduates and three TVSC administrators will complete the selection of the 2010 class of TVHS Distinguished Alumni. Each year thereafter the selection committee will consist of the previous year's honorees and TVSC administrators.
Anyone who would like to nominate a TVHS graduate for the 2010 TVHS Distinguished Alumni may obtain a nomination form from the TVSC Web site at www.tvsc.k12.in.us, the Tippecanoe Valley Alumni Web site at www.valleyalumni.ning.com, the TVSC administration office, or the office of any TVSC school. Nominations for the 2010 TVHS Distinguished Alumni are due no later than May 1.
