AKRON - The Valley girls volleyball team moved it's record to 3-0 on Monday against Winamac with an easy 25-9, 25-11, 25-11 win.
The sisters Wiley, Amanda and Lindsay led the way for the Vikings. Amanda led Valley with seven kills while Lindsay had 25 assists and 13 points.
Seniors Heather Rathbun had six kills and nine points while Holli Jackson had five kills and four digs for the Vikings.
The Vikings look to remain perfect when they travel to Wabash on Thursday. The match is set for 6 p.m.

Wawasee's girls volleyball team fell to 0-3 Monday night after a tough four game loss to Lakeland 24-26, 24-26, 25-23, 24-26. Kasey Bollier led the Warriors with 25 assists while Andra Aaron had 10 kills and 13 digs. Jen Minear was solid with five aces to go along with five blocks and nine kills. The Warriors look to break into the win column as they are in action tonight at home against Central Noble. The match starts at 6:00 p.m.

The Valley boys tennis team competed at Lewis Cass high school in the Cass Invite on Saturday. The Vikings opened thins up with a 4-1 against host Cass before falling to Eastern 3-2. Valley finished the day with a 5-0 win against Hamilton Heights. Valley's no. 2 and no. 3 netters of Robby Hamman and James Makula won medalist honors on the day.
Monday in North Manchester
The Whitko girls golf team continues to play well at their home course of Sycamore as the Wildcats disposed of Wabash 207-257. The medal winning performance of Jayanna Begley who shot a 46 led Whitko. Shelby Kreger came in second with a 52. The Wildcats, now 4-3, are in action Thursday in a three-way match against Manchester and West Noble at West Noble. The match is set for 4:30 p.m.
