She joins Dylan Wood, who is serving in the same capacity for a second year. The students attend the regular board meetings each month and update the board members on events at the high school.
TVHS Principal Chad Cripe, said, “We ask both teachers and student council members for recommendations for the position. Valerie was on both lists. She is a leader amongst her peers.”

Superintendent Blaine Conley said Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. has been recognized as a Red Wagon School Corporation by the Riley Children’s Foundations’ Kids Caring and Sharing Program. To be named, each school in the district had to have donated at least $1 per student.
Conley said, “TVSC’s students and staff repeatedly exhibit the heart of Valley’s mission of being committed to student success through the development of character, leadership and literacy.”
He also said, “Tippecanoe Valley is also committed to giving back to others in need, in and out of their community.”
