AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Learn-to-Swim Program will be offered at the Tippecanoe Valley High School pool June 11-22.

The Learn-to-Swim Program provides instruction to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their skills in the water.

The Level 3 Class, held daily from 1 to 1:35 p.m., is for students who have mastered the fundamental swimming skills learned in previous levels and wish to improve their level of swimming proficiency.

The Level 2 Class, which teaches fundamental skills, runs from 1:45 to 2:20 p.m.

Level 1 classes for beginning swimmers will be offered from 2:30 to 3:05 p.m. and 3:15 to 3:50 p.m.

A Parent & Child Class, for children 6 months to age 4, is from 4 to 4:20 p.m.  The Parent & Child Class requires an adult to be in the water with the child.

The cost of the Learn-to-Swim Program is $20 per child, $10 for a second child from the same household, and $5 for a third child from the same household. If financial reasons will not allow a child to participate, contact Dawn Rowland at the Tippecanoe Valley Administration Office at 574-353-7741.

Class sizes are limited.  Brochures/registration forms for the Learn-to-Swim Program are available from any Tippecanoe Valley school office.  The deadline for registration is May 11.
