Valley Middle School To Present Program On Veterans Day

The Tippecanoe Middle Valley School student council will host a community Veterans Day program on Nov. 11. The program will feature musical selections by band and choir students, a flag folding ceremony and a 21 gun salute by the American Legion Post 49 of Warsaw. There also will be a photo montage/slideshow of local veteran. Master Sgt. Larry Burkhart from the North Webster American Legion will be the guest speaker. He will share his experiences in the Korean War and Vietnam War. Residents can send picturers for use in the slideshow to Sara Thomas at sara_teach09@yahoo.com. The deadline to submit photos is Friday. The program begins at 1:30 p.m. In the Tippecanoe Valley Middle School. The event is open to public. Veterans are encouraged to wear their uniform and students are encouraged to wear red, white and blue to school that day.
