AKRON – Playing without senior standout Tanner Andrews, the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings were still too much for Three Rivers Conference foe North Miami Thursday night. Led by a balanced scoring attack, the host Vikings beat the Warriors 52-25 and earned at least a share of the TRC title. Chainey Zolman led Valley with 12 points, while Alec Craig added 10, Robby Groom scored nine and Logan Britton finished with eight. The Vikings led 18-7 after one quarter of play, 32-12 at halftime and 46-19 at halftime. Andrews missed the game because of an injury. With the win, Valley improved to 11-3 overall and 6-0 in the TRC. North Miami fell to 3-12 and 1-5. The Vikings wrap up their conference schedule Saturday afternoon when they host Southwood. Manchester and Southwood are the only other teams in the TRC that have a chance to share the title with Valley. Both Manchester and Southwood are 4-1 with two conference games remaining.
