AKRON - The Indiana Department of Education and the Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. Board approved early dismissal of all students in grades K-2 for Thursday to allow for staff development activities.Students will be dismissed after lunch at the following times: middle school, 12:15 p.m.; high school, 12:20 p.m.; Akron and Mentone, 12:35 p.m.
Any parent in need of child care for Thursday afternoon should call their child's school.
Additional 2008-09 early dismissal dates for staff development include Dec. 10, Jan. 22, Feb. 25 and April 21.
In the event of a two-hour weather delay, staff development activities will be cancelled and students will remain in school until their regularly scheduled dismissal time.
