Valley Dominates North Miami, Wins TRC In Roundup

Posted
DENVER — The Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team wrapped up a Three Rivers Conference championship Thursday at North Miami.
In its 66-29 trouncing of the North Miami Warriors, the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings finished conference play at 7-0, its first perfect TRC season since 2007-08.
Valley split the conference title with Northfield last season, when both teams went, 6-1, but this year, it belongs solely to the Vikings.
One game after becoming the talk of the state with a 146-56 win at Wabash, Valley actually led North Miami 60-19 after three quarters, but pumped the brakes in the fourth.
Valley senior Nick Kindig led all scorers with 26 points, followed by junior Tanner Andrews’ 14, while eight other Vikings got into the scoring column.
The 15-2 Vikings take a six-game winning streak into Tuesday’s home game against Bremen.
