Valley Boys Lead Roundup With Win Over Rochester

ROCHESTER – Neil Clampitt’s 17 points led all scorers in Tippecanoe Valley’s 50-43 win over Rochester. Alex Thacker added 13, and Chandler O’Connor narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds.
The Vikings got off to a 20-9 lead after the first quarter, and Rochester narrowed the gap to seven points by halftime, but could draw no closer.
Valley draws into a first place tie with Southwood at 2-0 in the Three Rivers Conference, and carries a 6-5 overall record into its game at Winamac at 7:45 tonight.

Chainey Zolman led all scorers with 22 points for the Squires in Manchester’s 61-44 win over Wabash. Koehl Fluke added 19 points and David McAtee 10 for Manchester.
The Squires improved to 8-5 overall and moved into a tie for third place in the Three Rivers Conference with a 2-1 mark. Manchester travels to Rochester to take on the Zebras at 7:45 p.m. Friday.

Austin Sellers scored 20 points, with Jordan Anderson adding 11 and Joey Corder 10 in Triton’s 57-34 rout of Culver Community in the Trojan Trench.
The Trojans led by only five points after the first quarter, but outscored the Cavaliers 20-6 in the second period to put the game out of reach.
Triton will go to LaVille in the first round of the Bi-County Tournament at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Kylie Mason had 14 points, and Lauren Hostrawser just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds as Triton dropped a 40-38 double overtime thriller to Culver Community.
Each team had 13 field goals, and Culver made one more three-pointer and had one more made free throw than the Lady Trojans.
Triton is 3-2 in the Northern State Conferrence, and takes a 10-6 overall record into its home game with Oregon-Davis at 3:30 p.m. today.
