Ed Parks, assistant principal at Lakeview Elementary School, displays the heart-shaped potato he pulled from a bag of potatoes at home this week. Parks, the disciplinarian at the school, can no longer be called heartless by the students. The potato's shape was appropriate for the season, with Valentine's Day just around the corner.
