For those looking to get rid of tires, the Kosciusko County Recycling Depot will hold its annual tire collection Sept. 11.
During Tuesday's Kosciusko County Solid Waste Management District meeting, Director Sue Studebaker said the collection will be held at the recycling depot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It will be the only day the depot collects tires.
Studebaker also said that during a recent wage survey, it was found Kosciusko County's educator for the solid waste district has the lowest wage at $20,000 which is nearly $12,000 lower than the average.
Board member George Clemens asked if the recycling depot loans out recycling containers for events like the Chapman Lake Cook-Off that took place last weekend.
Studebaker said that the facility does but that for Labor Day weekend all the facilities' containers are spoken for.
