U.S. Needs Moral Compass

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:
Do either one of our presidential candidates have a moral compass to guide them?
The Bible says that in the days of Noah, right before the worldwide flood, that “every man did what was right in his own eyes.” This is indicative of the day and age we are living in.
If we as Americans claim that we are a Christian nation, we ought to take heed to II Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Furthermore, a leader who seeks the mind of God (who knows the future) is not a sign of weakness, but rather it is a sign of wisdom.
“Be not deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one (a nation) sows, that will he (the nation) also reap.”- Galatians 6:7.
