A Mishawaka man was killed and a North Manchester man injured in a Wednesday morning crash near the intersection of U.S. 6 and CR 25.
Anthony Eddy, 25, Mishawaka, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department news release.
Richard Brown, 42, North Manchester, was transported to Goshen Hospital for a cut on his left hand and complained of pain to his right hand.
The accident occurred at about 9:55 a.m. Wednesday.
Eddy was traveling east on U.S. 6 west of CR 25 at U.S. 6 and CR 25 in a 2011 Ford 250 pickup. His vehicle went left of center and collided head on with Brown’s 1998 Volvo semi. Brown’s vehicle went off the road in an attempt to miss Eddy’s truck, and struck a NIPSCO utility pole.
