I read a couple of letters that were in Friday's edition (3-25) from what appears to be from two union members. The letters came from a Mr. Slone and Mr. Bartley, both have obviously been brain washed by union propaganda for a number of years. I will address both.
Mr. Slone thinks back to a time when he worked for low pay and was treated like dirt. This wasn't good enough so he joined a union, now his union dues hire thugs to get him a better deal than his work performance could not.
Mr. Bartley wants to unionize a very successful company and turn it over to the thugs that Mr. Slone helps pay for with his dues.
Gentlemen, it's time to wake up and cut up your union cards. People don't support unions or Democrats anymore. Both of which are a form of gangrene and have no useful purpose. Working men and women today only care about taking care of the family, having a job allows them to do that. They don't want to hold the companies hostage by demanding entitlements like insurance, 401K match, pensions, vacations and paid holidays. Those are all unions and Democrat demands, and because of that companies move away.
I wrote Speak Bosma and asked him to bring back the Right To Work bill. The governor that we have currently may not have the stomach for a good fight, but I think that Mike Pence will have when elected. I also shared with him the information from the company that is using temporary workers that make less money and have no benefits. We should use them as the example to lead the way to the future. If the leading employer in our county can do this, the other should fall in line with them. They don't seem to have any problems finding people to work there do they, Mr. Bartley?
Gentlemen, your fight is over. Entitlements are over, and with any luck the unions are over, too, followed closely by the Democrats.
In closing, Mr. Slone, if I may ask, why do you feel that you need to have the protection of a union? Do you need one because they have been protecting sub-par troubled employees for years forcing the companies to keep them on the payroll? How about the ones that have poor attendance?
It's been my experience that companies keep good employees. The ones that got replaced, what group did they fall in, Mr. Slone? I will await your response.
