The Beatles sang that money can't buy you love. But it can buy you the system of justice that caters to the rich and powerful and connected.
In America we have had unequal justice since before it was a nation. The rich have often been able to make and break the rules. Contrary to those that support the 1619 project that claims that slavery is what made America, the first blacks that were brought to the Virginia Colony were made indentured servants that were given their freedom after seven years of service. Slaves came later and still exist today.
The slaves we have today are enslaved to sex, drugs, electronic media and lies. But if you're rich or a connected Democrat, you can often be protected from punishment for indulging in these forms of slavery.
The hearing about how the FBI botched the Nasser sexual predator investigation has made that agency more like the Fumbling Bumbling Bureau of Investigation. The agency has been involved in many criminal actions over the years. It started with J. Edgar Hoover when he ruled the agency and went after a lot of people illegally. Comey sided with the rich and powerful like Hillary Clinton who has been corrupt most of her life, it seems. She lied about Trump and the ones that wanted to believe lies about Trump like the Russian collusion hoax sided with her. One of her lawyers named Sussmann was thrown under the bus. Maybe if she had been thrown under the bus she would have crashed the bus. But she deserved to be prosecuted. Letting five patriots including the ambassador of Libya die in Benghazi and her not caring might have kept her from winning the presidency. But all the other criminal activities she has been involved with should put her away for life if she is declared guilty in a court of law. But since she is rich and connected and a Democrat, the only time she'll see inside a prison cell will be if she sees it on TV or in a movie. And Hunter Biden's laptop that could have kept his dad from becoming president is still with the FBI and America suffers because of their ineptness.
The January 6 defenders of their Constitutional right to protest that are still in jail in Washington, D.C., didn't like the way the election was run in 2020. But the media considers them enemies of the state while the true enemies of the state, BLM, Antifa, and the ones that wanted to burn the system down are at times praised by the media. Our disaster in Afghanistan that should have caused Biden, General Milley, and Secretary of State Blinken to resign might not hurt them due to our unequal justice system. People have died and will continue to die due to it.
