Two area women were arrested on drug charges after a routine traffic stop.

Kosciusko County officers were alerted Monday at 7:37 p.m. of two individuals purchasing large amounts of items associated with the production of methamphetamine from the Warsaw Menard's store. Winona Lake officer Joe Bumbaugh observed the suspected vehicle on CR 100E and stopped the vehicle after a traffic violation.

Bumbaugh's canine unit "hit" on the suspect vehicle, where alleged methamphetamine and marijuana were located.

Jody Renee Yeazel, 47, of 303 Kitson Lane, Syracuse, was preliminarily arrested on felony possession of methamphetamine. Becky A. Moser, 51, of 69259 Ind. 13, Millersburg, was also arrested and preliminarily charged with felony dealing methamphetamine, possession of precursors and possession of marijuana.

Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers also were contacted and met with Bumbaugh during the investigation.

Yeazel is currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $2,000 bond while Moser is being held on a $20,000 bond.
