NORTH WEBSTER – The North Webster Community Public Library has added two new clerks to its staff.
Kelsey Gernand has accepted the position of youth services clerk, and Tiffany Weisser will serve as clerk in the circulation department.
As youth services clerk, Gernand will be responsible for checking out and shelving books and materials, assisting with programs, helping patrons and other assigned duties.
She is experienced working with children and has been involved with the Huntington Retreat Center at Epworth Forest in North Webster.
Gernand is a NorthWood High School graduate and has attended Ball State University and Ivy Tech Community College. A mother of two, she and her two children have been frequent library users for more than five years.
“I’ve grown to love this place and the children’s program. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the library,” said Gernand.
In the circulation department, Weisser’s responsibilities will include checking out and shelving books and materials, assisting patrons and creating displays among other duties.
Weisser brings previous educational and customer service experience to her new position. She is a 2008 Wawasee High School graduate and has attended Ivy Tech Community College.  Weisser lives in Syracuse with her husband and 5-month-old daughter.
“I love to read and enjoy being around books,” she said.
“We welcome Kelsey and Tiffany to our staff,” said Library Director Helen Leinbach. “I know they will be a valuable asset to the library and our patrons,”
