Two Warsaw men are behind bars after breaking into a home on the west side of Warsaw Wednesday morning. Acting on an anonymous tip of a possible burglary in progress, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives responded to the area of Hartzler Drive on the west side of Warsaw Wednesday at about 11:30 a.m., according to a release from the sheriff’s department. Just as officers arrived, they were advised that the suspect vehicle had fled the immediate area and was possibly headed eastbound on Old 30 into Warsaw. KCSD detectives located the vehicle at the intersection of Center and Detroit streets, where county deputies and Warsaw officers apprehended two men without incident. Taken into custody were Brandon Charles Carpenter, 25, and Jason Wayne Rohrer, 29, both from Warsaw. Both Carpenter and Rohrer were arrested and preliminarily charged with felony burglary of a residence. Carpenter is also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Currently, both Carpenter and Rohrer are being held at the Kosciusko County Jail without bond. The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the investigation by officers and detectives with the Warsaw Police Department as well as the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
