Rachel Bibler, Winona Lake, and Ali Tucker, Warsaw, are both Warsaw Community High School graduates. Tucker just graduated from Purdue University and Bibler will be a senior next fall at Purdue. Bibler, Tucker and the rest of their polling unit presented the findings of their Civic Competence National Polls and participated in a forum held at the National Archives in Washington, D.C., May 13. This is the first undergraduate polling unit of its kind. The students worked over a year developing four polls measuring civic competence of American adults under the direction of Ambassador Carolyn Curiel, a professor at the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue and executive director of Purdue Institute of Civic Communication.
