Warsaw and Winona Lake police arrested two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17, Tuesday for possession of marijuana.
An off-duty Warsaw officer observed a mo-ped without a headlight traveling through a Winona Lake residential area. After a traffic stop and a search of the mo-ped, marijuana was located on the subjects. Both subjects were arrested and taken into custody and later released to their parents.
Due to the amount of marijuana on the 16-year-old, a felony possession of marijuana charge as a delinquent act will be forwarded to the Kosciusko County Probation Department.
The 17-year-old was charged with a misdemeanor possession of marijuana, which has also been forwarded to the probation department.
Warsaw police expect further charges in this matter.
