Two people were injured in an all-terrain vehicle Friday near Chapman Lake.
According to a report from Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Ashlee Jackson, James B Fouts, 45, of Chapman Lake Road, Warsaw, was riding an ATV southbound on Chapman Lake Road when he lost control.
The ATV left the road and hit a 4-inch post and a number of landscape timbers at a residence.
The collision threw Fouts and his passenger, Shannon Pyle, 32, of Randolph Street, South Whitley, from the vehicle.
Fouts and Pyle were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment, and Pyle was airlifted to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Neither Fouts nor Pyle were wearing helmets at the time of the accident, and alcohol could have been a factor in the crash.
