Two Warsaw men were arrested last week for dealing marijuana.
On Thursday, the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force received a tip that approximately 13 pounds of marijuana was shipped to the Warsaw area from Texas.
Working with the Houston Police and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force, a federal program to help enhance and coordinate federal, state and local drug control efforts, the Kosciusko Drug Task Force intercepted the package prior to its delivery. After obtaining a search warrant, the package was opened and found to contain more than 10 pounds of processed marijuana.
Through further investigation, two suspects were arrested: Denzil Alan King, 21, of 733 E. Fort Wayne St., Warsaw, and James C. Alexander, 19, of 4101 Kuder Estates, Warsaw. Both were arrested for dealing more than 10 pounds of marijuana, a class C felony.
The investigation continues by federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, and more arrests are anticipated. The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force also was assisted by the DEA and the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's office.
