Posted
A check on a suspicious vehicle at a local motel led to the arrest of an out-of-state couple on warrants for drug charges.

A Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officer noticed a suspicious vehicle at the Economy Inn, 3521 Lake City Highway, Warsaw, and ran the license plate number. Warrants on drug charges from Coldwater, Mich., turned up.

Terry Lee Hurley, 54, and Carla Sue Hurley, 52, of 213 Creek Road, Union City, Mich., were found to be wanted on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine. Both were promptly arrested without incident and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail, with no local bail amount set, at 11:30 p.m.

No active meth labs or precursors were found at the hotel or in the couple's vehicle.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, the couple will be under bonds of $100,000 each when they are returned to Michigan to face charges there.
