Two Elkhart men were arrested Wednesday for allegedly dealing "crack" cocaine to an undercover officer in Syracuse.
Darnell Phillip Pearson, 25, and William Louis Quiroz, 34, both of Elkhart, were arrested for two counts of dealing cocaine/narcotics, a Class B felony. Pearson and Quiroz are being held on $20,000 bond.
Wednesday morning, an undercover officer reportedly purchased crack cocaine from Pearson and Quiroz at a business in Syracuse.
Tips from citizens and a short investigation by the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force led to the arrests.
The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force has received a number of tips from citizens about crack cocaine in the Syracuse area. The drug task force and the Syracuse Police Department are working together on the problem in that area.
The drug task force was assisted by the Syracuse Police Department in this incident.
