MARSHALL COUNTY - A Plymouth man and a Bourbon woman were arrested early Thursday after they both allegedly had been drinking and were involved in a single-vehicle accident.
According to a news release from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, at midnight Thursday, Marshall County deputies, along with Plymouth Police, Plymouth Fire and EMS responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 10,000 block of Muckshaw Road. It was found a man and woman - later identified as Jason Kennedy, Plymouth, and Stacy Neff, Bourbon - had been in a red truck that went off the road and had both been drinking.
Kennedy stated he was driving his vehicle.
Neff was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. She later fought and argued with officers, the release states, and was also charged with resisting arrest and public intoxication.
Kennedy and Neff were taken to Plymouth hospital for jail clearance and a certified blood test for Kennedy. He tested over four times the legal limit, according to the release.
Both Kennedy and Neff were transported to the Marshall County Jail where Kennedy was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Neff was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, resisting arrest and public intoxication. Both were given a court date and each have a cash bond of $1,500.
