Posted
Two men were arrested for incidents involving guns at Hide-A-Way Hills mobile home park Wednesday evening.

Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, the Kosciusko County Dispatch Center received a call about a subject with a weapon and a possible shooting at Hide-A-Way Hills, CR 250S, Warsaw. When officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department arrived at the scene, they learned there had not been a shooting, but there was a reportedly intoxicated man with a gun.

According to witnesses at the scene, a man, who was later identified as Gary Wayne Foreman, reportedly went to the mobile home at lot 149, Hide-A-Way Hills, and pounded on the door. When the occupants did not come out, Foreman reportedly stood outside the home while holding a shotgun and yelling.

By the time police arrived, Foreman allegedly hid the gun under the mobile home and ran toward a treeline to the south.

The gun, which was loaded when it was found, was described as a Mossberg Model 835 12 gauge. No spent shell casings from the gun were found, and police determined the gun was not fired during the incident.

After a search by police and K-9 units, Foreman was found in the woods and taken to Kosciusko County Jail. Foreman, 50, was booked on charges of public intoxication and criminal recklessness. His bond was set at $2,000.

A witness to the incident said that after Foreman left, the occupants of the mobile home allegedly came out of the trailer and got into a vehicle. The witness stated that the "park manager's husband and his son-in-law tried and did stop them from leaving. The son-in-law stuck a handgun to the male's head and said 'you're not going anywhere.' At that point the father-in-law took the handgun away from him."

Accoding to another witness statement, "I went back out and saw the manager's son-in-law with a large hand gun holding to an innocent bystander's head telling him to get out of the cars. The reason had nothing to do with the man with the shot gun. The managers said that no one was leaving the park until the police came."

Officers at the scene searched for a handgun, described by a witness as "silver or nickel plated," but were unable to find the it.

Around 10:06 p.m., David Castillejo, 27, of 2441 W. CR 250S, Warsaw, was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on one count of intimidation with a weapon. His bond was set at $2,000.

The incidents remain under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
