Both drivers in Monday’s crash involving a semi and a van were hurt and taken to area hospitals.
According to the crash report, a 2001 Sterling commercial vehicle, driven by Gary L. Hall, 68, of Peru, Ind., was traveling south on Ind. 13, approaching CR 150S around 11:41 a.m. Monday.
A 2005 Dodge Caravan, driven by David M. Walker, 58, of Warsaw, also was traveling south on Ind. 13, directly in front of the semi.
Walker then slowed to turn left. The semi driver told police he believed the vehicle was turning right so he began to pass on the left.
The two vehicles collided, and both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles by fire department crews.
Hall was taken to an area hospital for lower arm injuries from being entrapped. Walker was taken to an area hospital for complaint of chest pain.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Lutheran EMS, Pierceton and North Webster fire departments, Pierceton Police Department and Lutheran Air Ambulance.
