Two alcohol permits were renewed with violations at Thursday afternoon's Alcohol Beverage Commission meeting in the old courtroom at the Kosciusko County Courthouse.
Wawasee Golf Club was renewed despite a violation of sale of alcohol to a minor.
The incident occurred Aug. 13 when an excise office came in with a minor. The minor purchased a beer without being carded.Michael Shaw represented Wawasee Golf Club.
Shaw said the server didn't card the minor because the server believed the minor was with her dad.
Shaw said his employees all went through training and know now to card everyone.
It was the golf club's first violation and it paid a $500 fine.
Service Liquors also appeared before the ABC for a renewal after a violation.
The violation took place Aug. 25. A minor and excise officer entered the establishment and the minor put a six-pack of beer on the counter.
The cashier entered the amount in the register at which point the minor said she didn't have enough cash and left the store.
Service Liquors was cited for allowing a minor to loiter.
William Likens, vice president of Service Liquors, said his employee stated he normally asks for ID before he accepts any money, but since the minor had said she didn't have enough money and left he didn't have a chance to ID her.
The commission reminded Likens that it is illegal for an underage person to be in a liquor store and that they must be carded when they enter the store.
Service Liquors paid no fine and the violation was deferred.
If the store has no violations for a year, the infraction will be taken off the store's record.
