Twila M. SplinterTwila M. Splinter passed into eternity at the age of 94 on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Grace Village Healthcare in Winona Lake.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Johna (Jeff) Hodges, Warsaw; and Jaelle Dragomir, Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren: Lisa (Rob) Briggs, Lyman, Neb.; Angela Oaks, Houston, Texas; Jeffrey (Marilia) Russell, South Whitley; Rob (Davonna) Oaks, Medford, Ore.; Beth (J?rg) Fehlmann, Warsaw; Danielle (Arthur) Jolly, Houston, Texas; Desirae Oaks, Medford, Ore.; and Hilary (Ryan) Jarrell, Nappanee; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Her family was treasured and she missed being with those who live far away.
Twila was born July 20, 1926, in Goshen County, Wyo., to Frank and Lula Harden. On Nov. 17, 1944, she married John F. Splinter in Cheyenne, Wyo. She was a farm wife west of Yoder, Wyo., until the death of her husband in 1989. She retired to Warsaw in 1993 to be closer to family.
Prior to her move to Indiana in 1993, she was a member of South Goshen Presbyterian Church in Yoder, Wyo. She was a member of Pleasant View Bible Church of Warsaw. She was baptized by Pastor Les Lofquist at Pleasant View Bible Church on Feb. 18, 1996. Her faith in Christ as her Savior remained strong.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter, Brenda Lou; her siblings and many, many friends.
A memorial service will be held at Pleasant View Bible Church on June 25 at 4 p.m., officiated by Pastor Mike Hontz. A Celebration of Life is planned after the services and dessert will be served to family and friends. Graveside services will be held at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington, Wyo., at a later date. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
