TVHS PBIS Students for April

Posted
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports aims to improve Tippecanoe Valley High School’s climate and improve student behavior.

PBIS encourages students to have good character, go above and beyond expectations and serve others. Each week five students are rewarded for their behavior with a certificate, candy and a call home to the parent to let them know that their child was caught ‘Being Good.’

Out of those, a weekly winner will be drawn and receive a ‘PBIS Winner’ T-shirt (donated by the Army National Guard) and will be taken out to have lunch with Kirk Doehrmann, the principal, or the assistant principal. Neighborhood and surrounding area establishments have donated those lunches for the students.

The following students have shown great character by doing things like: looking out for other students, volunteering to help the teachers carry in supplies, holding doors open, saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you,’ turning in a lost cell phone, and turning in an iPod to the front office.

April’s daily winners were Prestton Conley, Sandra Hall, Caitlin Heisler, Alexandria Lewis, Alex Mann, Devin Madeford, Heaven Peconga, Tyler Presson, Mila Smalley, Keandra Williams, Thresa Wilson and Johnny Witham. April’s weekly winners were Kelsey Ball, Brooklin McKain, Tori Quillen and Gage Rogers. This month, the Mentone Subway provided lunch for these students.
