TVHS Grad Brings Unique Method To PracticeAfter a facade remodel, Day Chiropractic finally has a new look to match its fairly new location. At 118 W. Market St., Day Chiropractic is the first practice of Tippecanoe Valley graduate Dr. Kevin Day. Day got his undergraduate degree at Manchester College then graduated from Sherman College in Spartanburg, S.C. What sets his practice apart, Day said, is he is the only chiropractor in the area to practice the Gonstead Method. “It’s very specific with the adjusting,” said Day of the method. “We don’t manipulate the spine. We don’t put any rotation in the spine.” Day said the method can help diagnose problems before they become prevalent to the patient. “It’s safe for people of all ages,” said Day, who notes he has small children to the elderly as patients. Day said he traveled across the country for two years to learn the method. All of the equipment he has at his 1,200-square-foot facility is designed toward the Gonstead Method. Day said one of his biggest focuses is the overall health and wellness of his patients. That includes selling AlignLife nutrition products, both through his practice and his practice’s website at www.daychiro.com All products sold through the website are 100 percent money-back guaranteed. On a first visit, Day said, he will spend an hour and a half with a patient and give a full detailed report as well as a well map report. “We’re not here to adjust someone 10 times in the first month,” said Day. “We take a more conservative approach.” “It’s all about wellness,” said Day. “You can’t use pain as an indicator. Things like diabetes, high blood pressure. There is no pain associated with that. We want people to come in and see where they’re at.” Day is also certified to manage athletic injuries. After working in Rochester, Day decided to set up shop in Warsaw. While he has many connections in Rochester and southern Kosciusko County, Day said he was ready to expand in Warsaw. “Warsaw is one of the bigger growing communities,” said Day. “And I think Forbes hit it right on the head when it said this is one of the best small cities to raise a family in.” Day said that despite a number of chiropractors in town, all of whom he said he respects, he felt like he could offer something unique. Day Chiropractic is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily except for Thursday when its open from noon to 7 p.m. For more information, visit daychiro.com or call 574-268-2727.
