AKRON - Dr. Daniel Kramer, superintendent of Tippecanoe Valley School Corp., is expected to make a full recovery after suffering a heart attack.
According to Assistant Superintendent Brett Boggs, Kramer suffered a serious heart attack in the early morning of Sept. 12. He was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, and then transported by air ambulance to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Kramer had blockage of an artery, and underwent heart catheterization. He was hospitalized until Sept. 18, but returned home at about 7:30 p.m. that night.
Boggs said Kramer's prognosis for a full recovery is good, adding Kramer is weak and it will take awhile to get his strength back.
There is no timetable as to when Kramer will return to work. Boggs said they feel fortunate and blessed that Kramer will make a full recovery.
Until Kramer returns, Boggs said he and the administrative staff will fulfill Kramer's duties.
