Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
The Alternative Learning Center will be electronically connecting to the Warsaw Community Public Library and two elementary schools beginning this fall.
During a recent meeting of the Kosciusko Literacy Volunteers of America, the board approved the improvements and may implement the system on an expanding scale during 1999.
"This will enable off-site tutors to stay in contact with the teachers at the center, thus providing better service to the students," said Dave McGuire, ALC director. "It will also enable us to continue to meet state standards for enrollment."
ALC operates with the support of Warsaw Community Schools. KLVA functions as an extension of the ALC in providing tutors and learning partners.
