SYRACUSE - Senior Zachary Turner, Wawasee High School, was named a Commended Student in the 2008 Merit Scholarship program.
He is one of 34,000 such students nationwide who are recognized for their academic excellence. Turner was among the top 5 percent of more than 1.4 million students who entered the competition through the PSAT.
He is the son of Ralph and Susan Turner, Leesburg.
