Truth Hurts On Immigration

The truth is a weapon that can destroy lies or destroy many that use it. Millions have died because they supported the truth. The Inquisition was an attempt by the Roman Catholic Church to exterminate those that believed salvation was by grace through faith in God through Christ and not through the dictates of Rome. Knowledge was suppressed by those that wanted to control thought and because it didn't agree with what they wanted to believe.

Today, the truth can be dangerous to those that support it. Racism is accused when the truth is considered a lie. Take for instance the immigration arguments. People claimed President Trump was a racist when he pointed out how bad some countries were. He would rather not have people come from Haiti or other third world nations. I have a question. Why did President Obama spend his Christmas vacations in Hawaii and not in Haiti? There are more whites than blacks in Hawaii and more blacks than whites in Haiti. Was Obama a racist because he wanted to be surrounded by mainly white people and not black people like what live in Haiti?

There are many nations that are unattractive. If America was such a racist nation, why would many people from those countries want to come here? Those who have come from many nations on a temporary basis due to things like earthquakes and civil wars should be willing to go back to their homes. But Democrats want to keep them here. But if those nations that had problems are back to normal, why wouldn't displaced people want to resume a normal life in the land of their birth? They were told they would be here temporarily.

One of the reasons why those that are supposed to be here temporarily are allowed to stay permanently is because we have made things nicer for them here than back in their home countries. If you grew up eating hardtack for every meal and then tasted steak, would you go back to eating hardtack?

If a person is not a citizen of America, he should not expect the protections citizenship gives to people. If a person robbed a bank and gave you $100,000 from the robbery to pay off your bills, would you deserve to enjoy the benefits of what the stolen money gave you or would you have to give the money back?

Deportation sounds cruel. But just like it would be right to give the $100,000 back, it would be right to send the non-citizens back to their home countries unless they are in the process of becoming citizens. The truth often hurts.
