James and Donna Jane Truex will mark their 60th wedding anniversary June 26, 2008. The couple were married June 26, 1948, in Warsaw, with the Rev. Ralph Gustin officiating.
He retired from Creighton Brothers in 1993 after 45 years of service and is a member of Echoes of the Past Tractor Club. She retired from Warsaw Community Schools in 1997, where she served as a cook at Leesburg Elementary School and completed her 27 years of service at Atwood Elementary School. They are members of Atwood Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
The couple have three children: Raymond (and spouse Tina) Truex, Ronald (and spouse Mindy) Truex, and Dara (and spouse Mike) Long, all of Warsaw. They have 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The couple will celebrate the anniversary with an open house at the Atwood Community Building June 28 from 2 to 4 p.m. Those attending are asked to bring memories to share instead of gifts.
