Where the Green River and the Colorado rivers meet begins a long stretch of whitewater rapids in central Utah. The area is known as Cataract Canyon, and members of Boy Scout Troop 715 traveled there this summer to experience the excitement. They got on the river at Moab, Utah, and got out at the north end of Lake Powell. It was a three-day adventure filled with exciting and educational memories. Beside the whitewater rapids, they got to see ancient Indian paintings, cliff dwellings, groovers, the colorful sandstone formations along the river, sleeping under a star-filled sky, and being where the cell phones don't ring.Pictured (L to R) are, kneeling: Kevin Smith, Geoff Hubert, Kole Smith, Bill Becker, Austin Whitaker, Rob Morehouse, Jordan Timbers; standing: Adam Becker, Vincent Johnston, Trent Sumwalt, a river guide, Patrick Olson, guide, David Morehouse, David Johnston and Kyle Smith.
