Troop 715 Take Canoeing Adventure

Posted

On Saturday, eight members of Boy Scout Troop 715, Warsaw, set out on a canoeing adventure down the Eel River. The 13-mile trip was completed in a little over three hours. It started in North Manchester and ended in Roann at the historic covered bridge that was built in 1877. The adventure was dotted with several wildlife sightings including a beaver, a coyote, several hawks and plenty of geese and ducks. The morning was a little brisk and started off with scraping frost off the windshield and ended with a welcome hot meal at Lynn’s Restaurant in Roann. Although it never warmed past 36 degrees, the spring sunshine kept the Scouts warm This trip will help prepare the Scouts for a longer trip later in the summer.
