WABASH — The Northfield football team had it going on the ground and in the air Friday night at home against Triton. In their 32-20 victory, Northfield posted 275 rushing yards and 198 passing yards, punting just once. Triton junior Cody Shively led the Trojans with 102 yards on 10 carries, scoring a touchdown as well. In the air, senior Bryson Mosier found his grove, completing 13 of 24 passes for 174 yards and touchdowns to junior Cole Creighbaum and junior Josey Farmwald. In all, Creighbaum caught seven passes for 112 yards. Along with leading the Trojans’ rushing attack, Shively also did it on defense, posting 18 tackles. The 0-2 Trojans open their Northern State Conference season Friday at home against the Culver Cavaliers.
