Triton Wrestlers Lead Roundup With Win Over N. Miami

Triton’s wrestling team won seven matches on the way to a narrow 34-33 victory over North Miami Tuesday night.
Winners for the Trojans were Malachi Green, Lee Mullett, Nick Harker, Grant Stichter, Gage Waddle, Nate Spangle and Justin Hefner.

Tuesday in Wabash
Manchester’s wrestling team dropped a 48-33 decision to Northfield Tuesday night. Winners for the Squires were Collin Meggisson, Clayton Moore, Jared Gable, Quentin Moore, Ryan Kendall and Landon Tharp.
The team will travel to Syracuse  Saturday to compete in the Wawasee Invitational. The meet begins at 9 a.m.

Tuesday in Syracuse
Wawasee’s swim teams swept NorthWood Tuesday evening, with the girls winning 134-49 and the boys earning a 131-53 victory.
Paige Miller, Shelby Adams and Bre Robinson were double winners for the Lady Warriors; Miller taking the 200-yard freestyle and 100 breaststroke, and Adams winning the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle. Robinson swam to victory in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly. Wawasee won 11 of 12 events contested.
Warrior swimmers Brady Robinson and Logan Brugh were double winners in the boys’ competition, with Robinson earning wins in the 200 and 500 freestyle races, and Brugh finishing first in the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke.
The boys swept all 12 events in the meet.
The teams will host Plymouth at 5 p.m. Thursday in a Northern Lakes Conference meeting.
