LAPORTE – Triton scored 10 runs for a second consecutive sectional game in beating Oregon-Davis 10-1 at the 1A South Central Sectional Tuesday evening. The game was moved from the South Central High School campus to LaPorte due to field conditions and the availability of lights. Zac Pitney and Landon Kaufman had two hits each for the Trojans, with Dylan Hensley scoring three runs. Cordale Keyser and Pitney scored twice each. Hensley was the winning pitcher for Triton, going 5-2/3 innings and striking out five. Pitney finished off the game from the mound in a non-save situation, striking out four in 1-2/3 innings. The sectional championship game will be played at the South Central campus, where the Trojans will take on the host Satellites. South Central beat LaCrosse 11-0 in Tuesday’s second semifinal. Triton will bring an 8-16 record into the game, while South Central is 11-11.
